Happy Tuesday, babies. It’s a new week. A fresh start.
I just read the most amazing article and it inspired me to write a post for this week. I’ll link the article here -> Click Me!
Have you ever noticed that things don’t seem to pop out at you until you become fully aware of the situation? For example: you buy a new car and begin to notice that the car is driven by tons of other people? Or you hear a song for the first time and realize it’s been played countless times on the radio? Or, in reference to the article I read, how losing yourself can be so easy and happen so fast you don’t even notice?
One moment you are loving life and living it to the fullest, and the next you’ve let someone suck all of your personality away from you that you don’t even recognize yourself in the mirror anymore. It pains me to see how big of an issue this is within the world of relationships now-a-days, whether it be friendships or intimate relationships. The amount of people who give everything that makes them who they are up for someone they love so deeply. Someone that they want to love them back so bad, but it’s impossible for someone to love you who only knows how to love themselves. It’s impossible for someone to value you when they don’t even value themselves.
This is kind of a “sister post” to the Domino Effect blog I did a few months back. It is so hard to get the courage to do something. Whether it be turn away from someone you care about or doing something that you’ve never done before. Not knowing what could happen next is ultimately the downfall of many of us. We stick around and get caught in this continuous loop in life because we are afraid of doing something that has an unknown outcome. We put our life on pause along with our happiness because it feels comfortable and convenient. Why do something if it means you have to start from scratch? Why not keep praying things will turn out differently so you don’t have to start over?
NO!!!! This cannot be the outlook that develops within our lives!!! Life is so precious. SO precious. Living is so remarkable and it only happens once. It took months for me to fully understand the meaning behind “living” and I can honestly say it’s exactly what I’m doing now. In the last few months I’ve visited my dream city. I’ve begun working for a magazine. I’ve published my first article. I wake up every single day excited to see what the day brings even if its just working three jobs and going to school. The littlest things seem so perfect when you can appreciate yourself doing them.
I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it because someone will always need to hear it. You are worth so much. There is LITERALLY no one else like you. Don’t ever let someone take your happiness away from you. Don’t ever let someone make you feel like you aren’t worth loving.
There are 7 billion people in the world…. 7 billion. Out of all 7 billion people, don’t let one person tear you down.
Life happens. It consists of getting knocked down and getting right back up again.
You control your happiness. You control every aspect.
